Heron Island is a true coral cay right on the World Heritage Listed Great Barrier Reef. Here you can swim straight off the beach to an endless garden of coral where the waters are literally teeming with beautifully colored fish and marine life. The snorkeling and diving are right off the beach and at low tide, you can partake in the guided reef walk.

From November to February, you see female turtles lay eggs on the beach and from February to mid- April, you see newly hatched babies make their way back to sea and in the winter months, humpback whales passes by...

Upon arrival, met and drive around 1.5 hours to the hotel at Port Douglas, a picturesque resort town surrounded by rainforest and with reefs offshore.

Today, you will be picked up from your hotel to enjoy a spectacular day witnessing the reef by flying, cruising and underwater exploration. Take a helicopter flight over the rainforest, coastline & secluded sand cay set in the turquoise water to an Outer Reef Platform. Here, enjoy snorkeling as well as viewing the coral in the semi submersible and underwater observatory. Divers can also be catered for at extra cost. Hot & cold tropical buffet lunch will be served before returning by cruising.

Today, tour the Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park - enjoy a celebration of song and dance as the Tjapukai perform corroborees and share the stories of their totems. After lunch, take a Skyrail Rainforest Cableway - Glide over the rainforest canopy and enjoy a walk through the rainforest, surrounded by a diversity of plants and birdlife - and Kuranda Scenic Railway which is a historic rail journey winds its way along the Kuranda Range.

Explore The Rainforest Habitat Wildlife Sanctuary, Australia's leading environmental wildlife experience, with a guided tour through the three wildlife environments depicted: the rainforest, the wetlands, and the grasslands. Stroll along the beach or boardwalks at Cape Tribulation Beach with magnificent views of this World Heritage-listed site. Spot crocodiles and other wildlife on a guided Daintree River Cruise through the mangroves.
