On this truly unique journey, be at the driver's wheel traveling from Kunming, the capital of China's beautiful Yunnan province, to the tropical heart of the Golden Triangle and on to Chiang Mai in Thailand - former capital of the ancient Lanna Kingdom.

Yunnan - the land south of the cloud is one of the most colorful and beautiful regions in China. The landscape is extremely varied - from the luxuriant fertile plains to rugged Tibetan highland. This is also where you find most of China's colorful ethnic minorities. The highlight for the family is perhaps the 2 days/1 night Tiger Leaping Gorge hike.

Xishuangbanna was known as 'Mengbanaxi' in ancient times, a name that means a miraculous and nice utopia. On this trip, we work together with one of Shanghai's most celabrated photographers - Wang Gang Feng. He will guide participants into the heart of Xishuangbanna to visit the Dai minority people, monks and local villages and give tips on how to capture the essence and beauty of their simple life thru the camera lens.

The Shangri-la Ski Resort is an international standard ski resort in the south western part of China at the famous pristine location of the lost hotizon, Shangri-la, where you can see the rich natural ecological landscape and experience the exotic Tibetan culture.

Lijiang is the heart of the Naxi minority. Explore ancient old towns, well preserved houses and traditionally clad Naxi women selling their trade on the brick alleys. Watch the stunning large scale cultural show choreographed by the famous Chinese director Zhang Yi Mou with the Jade Dragon Mountain as the backdrop. In this trip, we have two options of trekking to Wenhai or Tiger Leaping Gorge.
